Democrats Lead In Ohio, Texas, And Iowa As Midterms Start To Look Like A MAGA Extinction Event

Republican operatives and strategists have been warning their party that the political environment for the GOP has been getting worse on the ground with each passing week for months.

Being the sole party in charge of the federal government meant that Republicans had a massive fundraising advantage over Democrats, but even though the economy is bad and voters have been enraged for the last decade, Republicans made a strategic blunder.

Trump’s party sat on its money. Republicans didn’t spend early. The GOP didn’t try to make the case early and often that their policies had the country on the right track. Instead, they followed Trump’s lead and waited for his promise that tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations would make the economy boom.

By the time Republicans realized that Trump was making things worse, the hole was too deep. The candidates they recruited were overwhelmingly low quality, and momentum was rolling against them.

Poor strategy, a terrible economy, and a reviled president have created the perfect environment for Democrats to have a historic midterm election.

Red states where Republicans never expected Senate seats and governorships to be in play are now in jeopardy.

We are 11 days away from Election Day, and the red states of Texas, Ohio, and Iowa show how big things could get for Democrats.
