Two women have filed a federal civil lawsuit against Matt Gaetz, his shockingly sleazy pal, Joel Greenberg, and another sleazy pal, Chris Dorworth. “The plaintiffs allege Gaetz, Greenberg and Dorworth participated in or financially supported a system that exploited young, vulnerable women, including through paid sex encounters and the use of controlled substances,” the Miami Herald reported.
“The complaint contends that Greenberg recruited the women through the website SeekingArrangement.com, then introduced them to a circle of men that included Gaetz and Dorworth. The drugs were supplied to the women at parties and private homes used for the sexual encounters. Jane Doe 1 also alleges that she witnessed Gaetz having sex with a girl who was 17 at the time.”
“Jane Doe 1 alleges she received more than $6,000 and Jane Doe 2 received more than $4,000 from Gaetz,” the Herald said, “with payment descriptions such as ‘Being my friend,’ and ‘car deductible’ and ‘Love you.’
All three are former public employees. Gaetz was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives at the time of the alleged sex trafficking. Greenberg was the Seminole County, Florida, tax collector. Dorworth served in the Florida state House but was defeated in 2012.
In late 2024, a House Ethics report found “substantial evidence” that Gaetz engaged in “prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, [accepted] impermissible gifts” and obstructed Congress. But that did not derail his new career as an OAN host, where he remains today.
Let’s not forget Gaetz was Donald Trump’s first choice for attorney general, our country’s top law enforcement officer, in his second term.
Gaetz responded to the lawsuit by trying to dox the two Jane Does. He posted a photo on Xitter of three bikini-clad women, at least one of whom is named. He wrote, “Jane Doe Strikes Again! Two adult women sued me today alleging they were sex trafficked to the Bahamas. I’m shocked nobody responded to their repeated cries for help, posted to Instagram.” Yet the Herald noted that Gaetz had previously admitted to its reporter that he didn’t know for sure whether either Jane Doe was in the photo.
Gaetz is as classy as ever.
