Is It Possible The GOP Supreme Court Justices Gave Trump Immunity So He Could Destroy Democracy?

The Supreme Court Justices need to be knocked off their pedestals. They are public servants, not royalty. They serve, or should serve, the people. They take excessive amounts of time off from work. Some of them take bribes, pursue unethical relationships for self-enrichment, and are more devoted to their party than to the Constitution. They should be subjected to term limits, random searches of their finances, and questioning under oath by Congress when corruption is suspected. They are given too much power and have proven to be a threat,, not a protector, of democracy.

Here is a dumb, dangerous, corrupt- leaning reality about the Supreme Court: No ruling by the Supreme Court can be found to be illegal because the court is the highest legal authority in the land and the final word on constitutional interpretation. Questionable rulings can only be deemed unprecedented, unconstitutional, or politically biased. In other words, if court justices in the majority are corrupt and partisan ( like the Trump majority), AMERICA IS SCREWED. Supreme Court reforms are vital for the survival of our democracy. Trump is a once-in-a-generation cult dictator who will take down many people and institutions before he is gone. However, remember that historical fascist leaders and their corrupt accomplices have bad endings.(AI Summary)

Key Details of the Immunity Ruling

Absolute Immunity: A former president has complete immunity for core constitutional powers like commanding the military or using the pardon power.

Presumptive Immunity: A former president has a strong presumption of immunity for all other official acts. Prosecutors must prove that holding the president accountable will not hurt executive branch powers.

No Immunity: A former president has no immunity for private or unofficial acts.

Evidence Restrictions: Prosecutors cannot use official acts as evidence when trying to prove a president’s guilt for unofficial crimes.

The Vote: The conservative majority voted 6-3 along ideological lines, while the liberal justices wrote a strong dissent warning of threats to democracy.

Broad immunity does not mean absolute immunity.  Why aren’t prosecutors, attorneys generals, and private citizens suing the shit out of Donald Trump?

EXCEPTION TO THE IMMUNITY RULING

● Private Capacity: The conduct happens when the president acts as a private citizen, a business owner, or a political candidate rather than as the head of state.

● A non-presidential act, also known as an unofficial or private act, is any behavior or action by a president that falls completely outside the scope of their official duties and constitutional responsibilities and is NOT immune from prosecution.

● Committing personal crimes unrelated to official duties.

● Managing private business interests or personal finances.

● Engaging in campaign activities that do not use government resources or official authority.

The media MUST stop referring to Trump as having total immunity for anything he does. What they SHOULD be reporting on is every action that Trump takes that falls outside of protected immunity. Because of his perfected conman skills, Trump talks and acts as if he can do anything he wants and never be held legally accountable. Because that is false, shouldn’t reporters and legal experts consistently report on the actions Trump is taking that could be and will be prosecuted when he leaves office? The reality of his vulnerability to future incarceration should be shoved in his face regularly.

The media does not do a good job of mentally destabilizing Trump by using the right scare tactics. His fragility is obvious; his low self- esteem is obvious; jealousies are obvious. Social media, podcasts, and television networks should devote regular airtime to discussing where the SCOTUS partisan immunity ruling DOES NOT apply.
