Republicans were quick to defend Trump’s decision to tear down the East Wing. Additionally, they remain silent as he aims at demolishing the Kennedy Center, removes representations of former presidents from the White House, fantasizes about adding his orange mug to Mt. Rushmore, and drapes the Oval Office in gold trim, evoking the image of a Middle Eastern palace. This GOP silence shows how little respect they have for American history and how sissified they have become as Trump loyalists.
