Moving forward, Trump now has an excuse for not being able to reverse his disastrous failures since he took office: America now has to run the country of Venezuela. For his entire political career, the Deflector-in-Chief has used deflection to avoid prison and scandal. Now he has gone so far as to invade a sovereign nation, declare rule over their people and their economy. He has pretended his attacks on Venezuela have been about fighting drug trafficking, but he is now admitting it is about getting the country’s oil. This illegal occupation is sending a message to other world leaders that they can ignore international laws and overtake other countries to pursue their own political agendas. The president is out of control. He is on a manic use of the military domestically and internationally. The Republicans in Congress are complicit in the decline of America as a functioning democracy.

YOU ARE TO BLAME FOR THE DECLINE OF OUR DEMOCRACY. FIX YOUR MISTAKE.”

Trump’s ascension to the presidency is explained in a word: Misogyny. Trump won two races against women. In America, men and women still see any man, no matter how unqualified and low-class he is, as better suited to lead than a woman. Why else would two highly qualified women lose to a felon and an immoral white male?
If Christians think America is adhering to Christian values under Trump’s rule, then they have lost their religious compass. Pope Leo agrees with this assessment. Donald Trump’s lifetime resume has never reflected high morals or loyalty to anyone but himself. Everyone knows that. His documented behaviours against his wives, other women, minorities, Democrats, the rule of law, contractors and the disabled prove his immorality. An alliance with an immoral person reflects poorly on one’s personal character.
