Fox has been spewing naked racism and Islamophobia all week long, going after NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and attacking him for his plan to attend the 9-11 commemoration ceremony in the city he runs, and Outnumbered cohost Cheryl Casone took it to another new low during a segment this Thursday.
Not only were they doing their usual shtick going after their latest boogeyman Hasan Piker, but Casone also attacked Mamdani for releasing documents showing officials lied about air quality around Ground Zero, claiming that releasing that report was somehow making the upcoming event all “about him.”
CASONE: And this is the toxic effect of Hasan Piker, and who, by the way, our mayor here in New York City is in his orbit. Make no mistake.
This is why the 9-11 families don’t want the mayor there tomorrow. He insists he’s going. This is why earlier this week he decided to make it about himself, instead of remembering the nearly 3,000 people that died in 9-11, Mamdami decides to release thousands of pages of documents showing that all the first responders were lied to at Ground Zero back in 2001 when they were cleaning up and they were breathing in that air.
Go back and look at the facts. The facts do not back up. The 9-11 Commission does not back up what Zohran Mamdami is going out there and saying.
The 9-11 Commission did not investigate or report on the air quality and was not tasked with any environmental oversight.
The EPA, which was tasked with investigating the air quality, which Christine Todd Whitman ran at the time, lied in their report. As I discussed here back in 2010, Whitman, who later became a corporate lobbyist, “had massive conflicts of interest when she ran the EPA and she helped cover up the problems with the air quality for the clean up workers after 9-11 at ground zero.”
You know the propagandists on Fox hate what he’s done because it exposes Trump’s good buddy, nutjob Rudy Giuliani. Shame on Casone for continuing to help spread their lies about the damage that was done to all of those people’s lives that got sick and who is responsible. It’s people like her who are disrespecting the victims of 9-11, not Mamdani.
