Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins is a font of disinformation and fever dreams. She never fails to disappoint. Rollins somehow touted the administration’s record for farmers and ranchers while contrasting it with what a Kamala Harris presidency supposedly would have meant for the agricultural industry.
And that’s cute since Trump is currently screwing over U.S. ranchers.
“No one has fought harder for these ranchers than has President Trump,” she insisted on Fox Business. “I want to talk just for a second about what a President Kamala Harris would have looked like for farmers and ranchers.”
“Ranchers would have been imprisoned, just ask Heather and Charles Mott of South Dakota, over things like fence line and pivots,” she continued. “There was a massive push under the last administration to eat less meat.”
“Could you imagine?” she asked. “Don’t stop eating meat. There was a massive push under the Democrats to eat fake meat and lab-grown meat.”
“They were working to regulate the waters of the USA, every pothole, every ditch on every American farm and ranch in America,” she added. “You contrast that to President Trump and this administration opening up 5 million grazing lands, opening up the markets around the world, Japan, UK, Australia, amazing new trade opportunities, not just for ranchers, but for all Americans.”
There is no evidence to support the broader suggestion that the Biden administration was pursuing a policy of imprisoning ranchers over the issues Rollins tossed out there. And don’t get us started on what a Harris administration would have been like. It certainly wouldn’t have been anything like this nightmarish timeline Americans are suffering through now. Rollins’ latest batshit crazy claim is similar to her other batshit crazy claim about beef jerky.
