Donald Trump’s “human binky,” Natalie Harp, has been dominating headlines over recent weeks after Senator Jon Ossoff dragged her bizarre relationship with the president into the spotlight. Since that first mention of possible impropriety, countless bombshell revelations have dropped, including Natalie’s deeply disturbing letters to the president and her truly bizarre actions to remain physically close to him, including sleeping in a women’s locker room and riding in a trunk — all of which have been further bolstered by Natalie’s estranged brother, Preston Harp.
Preston has made a few public appearances amid his sister’s recent national attention to speak on her long running obsession with Donald Trump.
But in a new piece from the Los Angeles Times, Preston went a little deeper, revealing what actually happened behind closed doors that led to him and his sister no longer speaking.
Preston told the outlet that Harp moved to Irvine, California, with her parents in her 20s, around the same time she was diagnosed with stage 2 bone cancer. At the time, Robert Harp, the pair’s father, worked as a professor of business and later as the executive director for the Office of Innovation at Biola University, a private Christian institution close to where they lived.
All seemed well until Robert Harp suddenly committed suicide at the family’s home in July 2020.
Robert said that his mother, Jill Harp, almost instantly concocted a story that claimed her husband Robert had suddenly died in his sleep and demanded that Preston go along with it.
He refused, telling his mother that he would not minimize his father’s pain in an effort to control their public image.
“That was the last time I ever talked to my sister,” Preston told the LA Times.
According to Preston, he and his sister were actually quite close as children, spending their days being homeschooled by their mother with a rigorous biblical curriculum that was steeped in right-wing, conservative Christian beliefs.
“We were raised with the idea that America was God’s gift to the world and it’s the only place that people really live in freedom,” Preston explained of their upbringing.
The Harp family regularly attended an El Cajon megachurch, where he recalled that his sister, Natalie, never really clicked with the children her age and instead always seemed to spend her time around the adults of the congregation, telling the publication, “There would be like skateboarding demos, there would be cool stuff going on, but my sister was just with all the grown-ups, and she preferred it.”
As they grew up, the siblings grew apart, with Preston leaning further and further into progressive ideals as he got older. At the same time, his sister remained loyally devoted to their mother’s teachings.
“I wasn’t really allowed to be in her life,” Preston explained. “If we ever talked on the phone, my mom was listening to everything we’d say, and they were talking on the phone together with me on speakerphone.”
Eventually, it seems that Preston had no choice but to accept that his sister was lost to him.
There’s no denying that Natalie Harp has dived headfirst down the Right-wing pipeline of delusion, as her deeply unsettling letters to the president revealed that she referred to Donald Trump as her “Guardian and Protector,” telling him that he was “all that matters” to her.
Her obsession with Trump has grown so severe that it has reportedly begun to cause a serious rift in Donald Trump’s third and current marriage.
