Donald Trump Is Still Secretly Whining About Elon Musk Hurting His Feelings

Donald Trump and Elon Musk got a divorce, and while they’re back on speaking terms for the sake of the kids, Daddy Donald can’t quit crying about his super hurt feelings behind closed doors.

Throughout Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and well into the beginning of his second presidential term, Trump and Musk were besties through and through. The pair was all but inseparable, as Trump appointed the centibillionaire to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a job and department made just for Musk by his best pal Don, meant to cull government spending and cut fiscal waste. Though, really, all it accomplished was getting countless government employees unceremoniously canned while a multi-billionaire meglomaniac with a Nazi kink got unfettered access to everyone’s social security numbers. But I digress.

Ultimately, the honeymoon phase didn’t last for Trump and Musk. It wasn’t long before things went incredibly sour and started fighting in front of the children, culminating in a massive fallout that saw the Tesla CEO publicly claim that Donald Trump’s name was all over the Epstein Files and “that is the real reason they have not been made public.”

And, with that, America’s two daddies were no more.

For weeks, the pair traded gut punches and eyeball jabs across the internet for all the world to see; their once-symbiotic relationship — in which Trump needed Musk’s infinite supply of money while Musk needed Trump’s government power — was officially dead in the water.

Eventually, their divorced dads phase simmered down, in large part due to back-channel efforts by Vice President J.D. Vance and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, per a Wall Street Journal report, and the duo was able to bury the proverbial hatchet and make nice for the children.

But that hatchet is covered with a mere 6 inches of dirt, on a good day, and it’s regularly festering for the Commander in Chief, who cannot stand being slighted and wouldn’t know the true meaning of the word forgiveness if his very life depended on it.

“Privately, Trump says he and Musk will never be as close as they once were, according to the President’s aides,” the Journal reports.

The report goes on to add that Musk is preparing to save Trump from himself as his approval ratings swirl the toilet, with plans to inject a cool $100 million or more into a PAC on a voter-turnout scheme, as midterm elections threaten to crush the President into oblivion.

But even $100 mil in political alimony isn’t going far in rendering Donnie able to forgive and forget, as some of his closest aides tell the Journal that Trump has far from forgotten their nasty, public dust-up. Insiders say the President ruminates on his fallout with Musk near daily and has made it clear that, while he’s willing to accept Musk’s injection of cash, he’ll never welcome Musk back into the fold.

People with inside knowledge of their communications say Musk and Trump speak only once a month and keep their talks strictly business: China, world events, AI, and money.

The White House released a statement chock-full of generic, milquetoast praise for the now-former trillionaire, saying Donald Trump “has built the greatest coalition in the history of American politics, full of patriots like Elon Musk who are deeply committed to preserving all of the historic accomplishments of this administration.”

But if there’s one thing Donald Trump is actually good at, it’s holding a grudge for eternity and slamming it full force in your face any time the opportunity presents itself.

Musk himself has been a formidable opponent for the President, slamming him for “such ingratitude” after their public divorce and even writing in a post on his X social media platform that “Without me, Trump would have lost the election.”

Suffice it to say, I cannot fathom that the schoolyard drama between these two chuckleheaded fools is even close to truly over.
