The Senate beclowned themselves by holding a hearing on whether to hold Dr. Fauci in contempt for exercising his constitutional rights. Naturally, Sen Ron Johnson couldn’t resist the opportunity to show once again that he is the dumbest – and most depraved – member in the Senate.
What he wrote to himself. How contradictory it was to what he actually told the public. I think one of the revelations of those diaries, I think probably the most significant one that’s being overlooked, was early on in the pandemic, he wrote in his diaries, he thought COVID would be maybe twice a bad flu season.
I’m not downplaying a bad flu season. We have them oftentimes. They overwhelm hospitals. Something to take seriously.
But a pandemic is gonna be twice that; is that really worth destroying people’s lives, shutting down businesses, destroying the economy? I argued back then that it wouldn’t be.
During the COVID epidemic, more than 1.1 million people died.
In comparison, the worst flu outbreak in American history was the Spanish Flu pandemic, which lasted from 1918 to 1920. More than 550,000 people died. They controlled the pandemic by closing theaters, churches, and schools; telling people to wear face masks in public; and developing a flu vaccine. Gee, doesn’t that sound familiar?
So, in other words, Fauci was right on the money with his prediction and his recommendations.
It is not surprising that RoJo was more upset about the economy than he was about more than a million dead Americans. RoJo is the same guy who argued that a child rapist shouldn’t face any consequences if doing so would harm the economy or the pedophile’s employer. This would explain why RoJo is still sucking up to Trump despite how many times his name is in the Trumpstein files.
